The Early Intervention Clinic was established in 2003 and is located in Los Altos, CA. Our Clinic provides brief counseling services to individuals who have experienced a traumatic event within the last 2 years. Services are offered free as part of a research project that carefully tailors evidence based treatment to each person and evaluates outcomes in order to assist those who have experienced trauma. Participants must meet certain criteria to be eligible to receive this service.

The founding Directors of the Early Intervention Clinic are Dr. Josef Ruzek and Dr. Matthew Cordova. Both Directors are Licensed Clinical Psychologists and faculty members at Palo Alto University (PAU). The Directors are assisted by a team of graduate students from PAU pursuing additional education in trauma-related mental health care.
