The Early Intervention Clinic's services are provided free as a part of a research project. We carefully tailor and assess evidence-based treatment for individuals who have experienced a recent trauma. In order to receive our services, individuals must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event in the last two years
Many events may be experienced as traumatic, such as experiencing or witnessing a motor vehicle accident, other accident, violent assault, sexual assault, disaster, or the sudden loss of loved one.
Note: This list is not exhaustive; if you feel you've experienced a traumatic event not listed, please contact us. If you are not eligible for our services, we are more than willing to provide you with referrals.
Have experienced any of the following reactions

Distressing thoughts, memories or dreams

Anxiety

Difficulty sleeping

Physical reactions (such as nausea or a racing heart beat)

Emotional distress or numbness

The telephone interview will help us to determine if our services will provide you with the best treatment.
